A little bit about me…
I have been involved in the music industry in one way or another since 1998. I started by reviewing gigs for music websites and by default ended up having to take photos, which is the part that has remained these many years later. I am passionate about music photography and find it frustrating that as camera technology moves on, people think less and less of the skill and passion great shots take. I aim to capture the energy of a performance in one shot, be it a look, a move or just the moment. Having decided to only take music photographs, live, promotional and in the recording studio, I have a day job as a fundraiser and hope to use this in the future to support music projects. I have produced and presented community radio shows over the last four years including some features for BBC Introducing in Wales, all focusing on new music and the development of music supply channels. New and unsigned artists is a big passion, with promotional work and gig management being some of the areas I have dabbled in. Finally, I still have ambitions to be a musician myself, but having failed in numerous bands in the past, now just play by myself as a one man Psychobilly explosion known as Sloe Jones.
